Lillian Vega
Doctor Lillian Vega (she/her) is an engineer and mechanic, and a damn good one if she says so herself. She designed Benthos Outpost herself, and went down with her ship when they realized that she was the only person who knew how to operate and fix it. She loves her work and knows every inch of the base like the back of her hand. She's kind of reckless and reactive, and very protective of the people she likes. She would describe herself as an open book, but whether or not the others would is anyone's guess.
Alex Newman
Doctor Fatjon Alexander Newman (he/him), prefers Alex. He is the psychologist of Benthos Outpost, here to make sure nobody gets cabin fever and goes on a rampage. He is technically not a therapist, but sometimes ends up being one anyways; it's a small outpost, and people need someone to talk to. He's very good at keeping secrets, but not very good with other people keeping them from him.
Andrew Federman
Mr. Andrew Federman (he/him), journalist and self-proclaimed documentarian, was assigned to the Benthos Outpost mission. He dislikes being wrong, following instructions, and the base itself, and he tends to get under people's feet. It's never really his fault, though. Everyone else just has it out for him! He has been seeing strange things in the portholes, though, so maybe he's not quite the sane man he imagines himself to be.
Joanna Fenistil
Doctor Joanna Fenistil (they/them) is a marine biologist who volunteered on the Benthos Outpost hoping to find new fish and got a little more than they bargained for. They're curious and normally cautious, but sometimes the thrill of scientific discovery makes them throw caution (and self-preservation) to the winds. They really, really dislike people acting like they're too stupid to understand things. They like science songs.
Mahima Kumar
Captain Mahima Kumar (she/her) volunteered for this, but she's having second thoughts with her crew. She's a jack of all trades, master of a couple of them; she's the oceanographer and resident medic as well as the captain of the mission. Sometimes she wishes people would just shut up and listen to her. This is not something that happens very often.
